So just buy a used one and activate it to your current account.

Used iPhone prices appear too high? Don’t believe it. Look at the links here and compare what they will pay you vs. Craigslist. I’m not paying those prices today (6/23/10).

Activating. Once you get the used iPhone 3GS, activating is very simple. Just call AT&T at 1-800-331-0500 & they will handle it for you.

Current 3G Sim Card Works in 3GS. Your current sim card will work in the 3GS. In fact, insert it into the new phone and the 3GS should now work. You should still call AT&T to get the phone identified with your account.

Costs & Plan: $18 activation fee. If you have an existing smartphone (maybe iPhone 3G like me), you can keep your current plan without changing to a new plan. Activated 3GS with new IMEI number (very simple.

3G iPhone Now Needs A New Sim Card: Order from AT&T customer service, or go the nearest AT&T Wireless store and get one. Cost is $25

My Stepfather Getting An iPhone. As soon as I find the replacement 3GS iPhones, my stepfather will (maybe) be moving to an iPhone. It will only cost me +$15/month for his data plan.

What About Your Apps? 1) Old iPhone should be backed up. This is a secret Apple wants to CHARGE YOU to learn. Oops, I found it here howto. Read “Backing up your iPhone…” and you will find “Right Click on iPhone icon & restore from backup”. Well it took me 3+ hours to solve this one, but now have it. Only a few minor manual restores (Navigon favorites). Did get contacts and more.

Summary: Neither AT&T or Apple could solve my problems of restoring Apps, but at least AT&T offered to follow-up in a few days. I will share with AT&T, but will slam Apple for wanting to hose me.

Does anyone have any real good solutions for plastic bag or wrap recycling?

If we can find reasonable recycling for soft plastics (wrap, etc), then obtaining a high recycle percentage should be very attainable for households.

Eco.cycle has very good information. Spend some time on their website to see what works for your household recycling plan.

King Soopers has promise, but more research is required.

Feedback is greatly appreciated on this topic. Thanks.
